The Gnoufs (2005-2020)

This is one of the very first OCs I designed back when I was a teenager in my last year of school (accessories included).
I believe she was the very first OC to be made for the underrated yet treasured series of my heart - 'The Gnoufs' (France, 2004. UK, 2005). One of my best traditional artworks to this day.

Rabgnouf and Rubignouf are one my very first pairings, who I felt just clicked, for they have a lot in common, pink being their favourite colour, their love for animals and nature, and Rubi always laughing at Rab's jokes when no one else does - staying by his side no matter what.
Here and above, I was trying to different poses, despite the Gnoufs' oddly unique body shape but I managed to pull it off.

I am pleased with the luminous shading on this one. It really shows how bright Rab's balloon is, in the night sky.

The song, 'Home' from the 1978 movie, 'The Wiz' is real tear-jerker and I listened to it a lot while drawing this piece, which suited Rubi if parted from her dear friends, who became like family to her.
Transformers Animated (2008 - Onwards)

Here is my very own OC, Jadebutterfly for the 'Transformers Animated' (2007) series, which I got into back in 2008. I made an early version of her later in the year, until a close friend of mine sketched an improved version of her and I was inspired to the same, following her guide.
Jadebutterfly or 'Jady' for short is one of my many memorable OCs, that holds a very special place in my heart.

Out of all the Autobots and Decepticons we have been introduced and became a huge fan of over the years within the many Transformers series, one of them for stood out from all the rest. And that was the one and only Bumblebee!
Don't get me wrong, I have quite a few favourites, but Bumblebee has always had a special place in my heart, especially the Animated version.
I felt he and my Jadebutterfly would be a perfect match and within my stories, they clicked right away. Here, I wanted them to have a moment of Spring between them.
(Bulkhead & Nolee - My Gentle Giant, July 2011)
Nolee Zuto (17) was the very first human OC I created for the Animated series. Over time, she would be seen as a sort of reincarnation to the legendary Japanese folklore, 'Kaguya-hime' or 'The Tale Of The Bambo Cutter' by Bulkhead, whom I paired Nolee with, making him her 'gentle giant'.
Nowadays, ideas between me and a close friend came up about Nolee having her own alien form and being from another planet called 'Rabiusa'. Combining 'rabbit' + 'usagi'.

Ever wondered what Transformers in clothes looked like? Well, here's your answer! I am a huge lover of designing outfits, especially for special events such as weddings.
It was a bit tricky in some areas, drawing formal wear over where their armour is covered. But I managed to pull it off and I am happy with the outcome.
DreamWorks Trolls (2020 - Onwards)

Even though I officially jumped onto the Trolls bandwagon in 2020, Cooper has always been my most favourite troll from the very beginning. And deep admiration turned into even stronger - love~ So much so, that he became the very first troll I ever drew, including his dazzling mother - Queen Essence.
Here, I drew Cooper having a moment where if he ever wondered who he really was inside and out, inspired by Mulan's 'Reflection'. Including a scene from Frozen II' 'Show Yourself', where Cooper tearfully reunites with his mum. They both deserve a mother and son moment together like this.

Hehe, well I couldn't join one of the greatest fandoms of all time without creating a trollsona of my own now, can I? Trolls World Tour (especially Cooper) was the biggest highlight of my 2020 and I couldn't more thankful to it. I remain a huge fan to this day.
The bracelet on my right ankle belongs to another Trolls OC of mine, who will be Trolls Kingdom's own Goddess of Harmony, and the mutil-coloured crystal beads represent the main six tribes and music genres. (Pink - Pop, Red- Rock, Orange - Country, Yellow Classical, Purple - Funk and Blue - Techno)
My rainbow dress/formal wear is also inspired by Trolls World Tour's 'Just Sing' and its musical sequence, when Poppy and Queen Barb gain their own rainbow outfits.

The very first interaction I drew between me/my trollsona and Cooper. One of pure love~ I was trying out different expressions while mastering the Trolls style.
And although 2020 was a rough year, my newfound love made my skills and dedication grow even stronger. And before I knew it, I was on a role with my new OTP.

Inspired by Cooper's own egg before he hatched. You can tell I had fun with the shimmer, shine and shadowing on this one.
I was experimenting with different types of shading I hadn't used before in Sai.

This is what I imagined our royal attire would look like, though I may do another piece with our royal looks in the near future.
And beside us, is our future son - Toby. Who's just as lovable and optimistic as his parents.

It had been a while since I drew Toby, so I wanted to draw him being the adorable little trolling he is, toddler stage. I wanted to work on my postures more, and Toby was the perfect model for it.
I even drew his fave plush worm, 'Petey' in my style, who was part of a Coossy Family commission I got a few years back.

Here is what Toby would look like as an adult and newborn (the newborn being Trolls TrollsTopia style and inspired by a fellow fan's take on a trolling. The fluffy gold star being a symbol of a royal baby.
I imagined grown-up Toby's hair being as long as Cooper's, but tied back. And the cap he's wearing? Proudly gifted to him by Cooper himself when he was little, and Toby treasures it dearly and wears it to this very day. Even carefully customizing it with a gold star pin.

As you probably figured, I am a huge lover of designing outfits, especially dresses for enchanting scenes, formal events and special occasions.
You cannot imagine how much fun I had designing my trollsona's wedding dress. Something I would definitely wear myself.
I am really proud of the transparent effect on double sleeves and veil. Along with the colourful roses, representing the tribes' colours and Cooper extending a paw as his bride joins him in this beautiful moment between them~
(Trolls World Tour - King Quincy & Queen Essence In My Style, November 2020)
After drawing Queen Essence for the very first with Cooper back in April 2020, I had a strong urge to redraw her again seven months later. This, time by her husband's side - King Quincy.
Compared to my first drawing of her, I feel Essence has more structure and volume to her, especially her hair, body and colour scheme. And I had a blast drawing Quincy as well. These two have such dazzling character designs - two of the best in my eyes!

To show my true dedication to my most favourite troll in the whole wide world, I wanted to make a special annual tribute not only to him, but also to his VA on his special day.
As you can see, I was having a real blast with every celebratory piece I made for him. From popping out of a giant birthday cupcake to having his family altogether as adorable Tsum Tsums, from being a trolling with his own special-themed cupcake to even having a sensational performance (if my trollsona was a famous Pop singer) on his big day!
Sometimes I amaze myself with how I manage to capture every piece as how I imagine them to be. And they'll be plenty more to come in the future!

I am so loving Cooper's dreamy expressions within this Valentine piece. Shows how deeply enamoured he is with my trollsona as I am with him. Including many of my favourite songs all around us, symbolizing the strong, loving bond between the two of us~

Title says it all! After seeing many of favourite trolls dress in Hard Rock attire, I was inspired to deck my trollsona out in her own Rock outfit. And she is rockin' it!
I also made a side by side comparison of what she looks like with and without her black denim jacket on, Including matching fingerless gloves and hairbow, and a close friend gave a hand with her hairstyle as well.
Fun fact: My trollsona's full name is: Justina Butterfly.

I had so much fun with the hair and earring design. And the posing of the feet, came out perfectly.

A new season of Trolls TrollsTopia was released that summer and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to design a swimsuit for my trollsona and interact with Cooper. He is liking what he sees, hehe~ I am happy with how poses and the frills on my swimsuit turned out. And I'm especially proud of the background I drew here like it's from the actual series. That was my aim and I nailed it!
(Fantasy AU - Cleo The Seahorse, June 2021)
This character started off as an underwater troll of a different music genre - 'Dance Club' and looked like a seahorse (one of my favourite sea creatures of all time).
However, I wanted to include her in a different storyline a friend was planning with anthropomorphic animals, so I decided to base my character off of my Dance Club Troll and give her more accessories as well as a comparison of her having legs as well as a tail.

These two artworks you see are part of an AU roleplay I did with one of my friends. She started out sketching Cooper as a Mertroll, and I was inspired to draw one or two scenes from them and our roleplay, my trollsona included.
You can tell I really enjoyed drawing all the poses, expressions, hand postures and outfits in both scenes, especially in the second one where Cooper and I are dancing together within the ballroom of his underwater palace.

I am especially happy with the details of my second outfit, including the flowing pattern of the flowing see-through sleeves, giving off a watery effect, along with the many pearls that shimmer upon my trollsona's form.
I also had so much fun creating the bubbles for a more underwater effect in both scenes.
(Trolls Night Club AU - Jussy, City Style, July 2022)
To really get the feel of the city look and style where my close friend's Night Club AU takes place, I browsed a few outfits and pictured my trollsona wearing something really sweet, stylish and pink.
I then used the pose I drew for my trollsona in the second MerCoossy piece, and used it like a model for her new city look. And we can't of course, forget about her butterfly trademark.

When I first started pairing Cooper with my trollsona,'Happy Together' by The Turtles was one of the very first songs that made me think of us, including 'I'll Be There' by The Jackson 5.
I imagined the song playing in the background during a dream sequence, where Cooper and I are up in the clouds, literally happy together without a care in the world.
I added more clouds around us to give the scene more depth and make it look more realistic. The noses do look a little strange in the side view, but I enjoyed making this piece from what I had in mind.
(Trolls 3 (Band Together) - Jussy's New Look, December 2022)
Before the third Trolls movie released in the following year, I thought it was time to give my trollsona a new look, specially for the occasion. This is my very first artwork of her with it.
Using a recent model, I revamped my trollsona's original clothes and with a close friend's design idea and suggestion, I wanted to capture a similar knitted effect on the flower and butterfly patterns, including the looped design on the blouse. Just like on Poppy's new outfit for the new movie. I even added my very own hug-time bracelet, given to me by Poppy herself.
I also gave Harmonia's Braclet a new upgrade, with a gold band as well as a silver one, and the six crystal beads have all formed into music notes.

With Christmas and Valentine's Day being two of my most favourite traditions and times of the year, I love making annual pieces to celebrate them, whilst improving my skills and making them as breathtaking as I can, each time
These pieces of 2022, 2023 and 2024 are three of my best festive artworks so far, inspired by treasured stories, TV specials, and especially and most importantly, love and family~
And I will continue to amaze, enchant and delight my audience, with each special artwork I create.
(Trolls TrollsTopia OC - Tempo (Revamped) June 2024)
This was one of the first Techno Troll OCs I created back in 2022. Since my Trolls style has improved since then, he was in the need for a good revamp and I wanted to give him more character. Especially his adult form. Though he's cute the way he is as a baby.
It felt so good to revamp Tempo and compare his new look to his old one. He has more personality and I am so pleased with how his smooth expression and new hairstyle turned out.

Trolls Fun Fair Surprise is a delightful online series that I've been enjoying recently And I wanted to join in the fun by creating a Fun Fair Surprise look for my Trollsona. And I have to say, she really looks the part here, thrilled with how she turned out,
Especially designing her new dress and matching butterfly hairbows. I also used the air brush and blur effect to give her pom pom hair a fluffy candyfloss look.
(Trolls TrollsTopia - Unicorn OC, Zerafina, September 2024)
A close friend of mine has created a few amazing Trolls Species. And one of my most favourite are her Unicorn Trolls. I was inspired by their elegant design and was excited to create one of my very own.
It had been a while since I drew a centaur-like troll, but with great guides to help me, I am thrilled with the outcome. Especially the pose for Zerfina, her outfit with the hanging gems, her eye shape and shining crown clips for her hair buns.

I felt I was on a role with my friend's Unicorn Trolls during September and October. Not only did I create my own lovely Unicorn Troll, but I also made loving parents for her. And no Unicorn Troll would be complete without a surname.
I came up with 'Glimmergem' which I would suit a family of high class, hence the gems that adorn their outfits. I wished for Zerfina to strongly resemble her parents, especially her mother.
As for their names, I wanted them to start with the last three letters of the alphabet (X, Y and Z) as a clever little hint.

(Toy Story OC - Opal Springs, March 2020)
After watching Toy Story 4 the year it was released in the summer, a few months into 2020, I felt a sudden urge of inspiration to create my own toy, with an 80's vibe and a combination of a few popular toy brands I had back when I was a kid, such as Barbie, Slinky and Polly Pocket.
I never thought the creation of this sweet OC, would lead to a toy line of its own.

Before I created the other three Pastel Pals, Opal Springs was the very first toy design I came up with. It was just gonna be her, but then a few of my friends asked if there were gonna be more like her, and it got me thinking and inspiration struck during work (like it usually does, hehe!) so I made notes of what they were gonna be like, including Opal.
Although identical, design-wise but what different colour schemes, Opal's teammates are made up of a glowing otter due to emotions (Neon Glow) a recordable hare (Crystal Record) and speedy squirrel (Prism Speed) making them the newest popular girl toy brand in the Toy Story Universe (and in my stories).

Despite its short time on screen, Centaurworld was a fascinating series, with whirlwind of emotions that just hit you when you least expect it.
During its showing, I developed a soft spot for one of the main characters, Durpleton - inspiring me to create a Centaurworld OC of my own named 'Umona', her inspiration coming from one of my childhood movies, The Last Unicorn (1982).
I even gave her a human form and drew a what-if interaction if she and Durpleton had met sooner as kids.
As they star in this annual Valentine piece, their expressions, interactions and hand postures are a treasure to gaze upon.
Voicework (2010 - 2021)
Here some examples of voicework I've done over the years (excuse the microphone in one or two early ones) I can do a range of voices from child ones to soothing ones, to feminine ones, with a touch of the American charm. I can also put on a few accents as well, depending on the character I'm playing or in mind.
